The House

The House is part of the fabric of Westminster. Founded in 1976 by a cross-party group of MPs, we have spent more than 40 years shining a light on events in Parliament.

Written primarily by Parliamentarians, with an MP as editor and a cross-party editorial board, The House is closer than any other publication to the most powerful people in UK politics.

Our print magazine – published weekly when Parliament is in session – is renowned as an impartial source of Westminster news and insight, featuring a mix of exclusive interviews, debates, intel and expert policy analysis.

The House Live is an extension of that legacy. Combining live updates from both Houses of Parliament, exclusive interviews and comment from MPs and peers and the latest stakeholder reaction, The House Live aims to establish an effective, ongoing dialogue between Parliamentarians and those working in policy and public affairs.
